Oil & Gas Projects Introduction

Gulf Western is an oil and natural gas exploration and development company with a strong portfolio of projects and lease acreage holdings in Texas, Kansas and Kentucky.  Our projects and holdings include:

Texas Oakcrest (Wilcox) Projects

We hold approximately 866 acres in south central Texas associated with the Oakcrest and Oakcrest North Projects.  The main target is the Wilcox formation at approximately 11500 feet with the Frio formation identified as a secondary target.  Independent reserve estimates for our total net interest in the Oakcrest Project for proved and probable reserves are approximately 8.4 billion cubic feet equivalent.  Two wells are scheduled to be drilled in 2007 to develop proved reserves.

Mound Branch Reserve & Infrastructure Projects

Gulf Western holds approximately 8,800 acres in Elk County, Kansas.  The reserve and infrastructure development program is comprised of the interconnection of eight existing wells that are under test and shut-in awaiting interconnection with the Mound Branch Gathering System. The Gathering System is a 15-mile low pressure system with total design capacity of 8,000 Mcf per day.  The reserve development program is a 150-well program to be drilled over three years with 50 wells per year. Tests continue of the Mississippi Limestone formation and the Cherokee coal group with test results continuing to confirm the technical viability of the blanket coals and the Mississippi Limestone formation wells.

Texas Frio Projects

We are participating in the drilling of thirteen Frio-age natural gas wells in Dewitt and Lavaca County, Texas that have been identified through 3-D seismic.   For the Shamrock Project in Dewitt County Texas, three Frio wells are scheduled for drilling in 2007 and we own a 90% working interest in these wells.  In the Brushy Creek Project in Lavaca County Texas, we hold working interest in ten wells with interests ranging from 30-45%.  The drilling of the Brushy Creek wells are scheduled to be completed during 2007.
